South Carolina Primary Results

I was just checking out the coverage at CNN on the primaries, specifically South Carolina.  Some interesting stats.

Obama won 52% of the under 30, non-black demographic opposed to a mere 15% for over-60, non-black.  This is staggering and significant.  Racism is clearly dying in America!  That might be your first thought, but lets take a closer look.  Said another way:

White percentage for Obama: last, by double-digits
Black percentage for Obama: first, by over four-fold.

The remaining percentages of the population that reject racial respect will likely become more isolated and extreme.  Racial views are extreme inherently, and marginalization of any group of people tends to create the infamous "blow-back".

Some other interesting stats from Intrade political prediction:

Clinton Market Obama Market

Clinton is clearly favored, but Obama sure is shaking things up!
